Meugang,
You will see a tradition that called as 'Meugang', commonly existed in Aceh. People are very excited to welcome Ramadhan by putting some food on the table for the family. In addition, meat is the main items that you will find out served and cooked with various ingredients by mothers in house. No matter how much money a man should spent for the meat, at least he bring back this meat back home. People also invite neighborhood around especially orphans, destitute, or friends. Old-man says it is our way to welcome Ramadhan and being happy to meet the month again.
Meal hunting,
The most excited scene on the street is meal/food hunting for breaking-fast. In Aceh, you will see the main-street full of tables with many kind of meals and food, ready to sell. The sellers, you will probably surprised with young ladies and men. They sale in outstanding appearance, but hmmm we may say it Sudden-appearance ^_^, more on hang out rather than a true seller. Apparently, their meal may remain untouch, but when sirene breaks the time, the sellers themselves will eat the meal ^_^.
Buber time,
what is buber stand for? it is in Indonesian abb, stands for 'buka bersama'. It is more like some people have break-fasting together with their mates, friends, colleagues, like reunion, and community gathering. While waiting the time, usually having some kind of chit-chat and talks.
Black Screen Laptops,
Technology is attacking the city. For god sake, it may bring up positif development to this region, as internet seems to be easy-to-find. Rapid information, up-to-date news, knowledge, and sharing could relieve people to be smart. Unfortunately, youth seems to be poisoned by games, social networks, and spending all the times in front of the black screen with the round table, what is it? Poker or other interactive games. Street racer,
This is not for your good attention. But anyway, everytime Ramadhan comes, these young-little-adrenalin-raiser always race down on the street every morning after Subuh with their motorbike. Suggestion: Don't try this anywhere! Police Patrol around
